About Milford Automotive Pikesville, MD

So, how did this business get started?

George Burnham Jr., George Burnham Sr. and his father were all raised in Pikesville. All three lived and worked on the Alto Dale Farm (now Avalon just off beltway) where his father and grandfather managed the farmland and maintained the property. George Burnham Jr. started working on the farm at a young age until he was about 19 years old.

He then started working at a service station in Randallstown as a pump/cleanup attendant for 10 years eventually working his way up to tech and service manager. George is a graduate of Pikesville High School and Western Vocational & Diesel Institute of Maryland. George Burnham Jr. opened Milford Automotive in 1986. He is accompanied by his wife Laurie who handles accounts payable and administrative responsibilities, and 4 full-time automotive technicians.
